COVID-19 & Visiting the Museum
The FAST Museum is OPEN to the public on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays.
We look forward to welcoming you!
To protect our volunteers and other members of the public, we request that - unless medically exempt - our adult visitors wear face coverings whilst inside the Museum buildings.
The availability of volunteers to run the museum may also be impacted by the current fluid situation with the virus. Please check the Museum Operational News Update below before your visit, where any further changes, including opening hours or unplanned closure will be advised. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
Please also be aware access to the Flight Simulators and Aircraft Cockpits may be limited to maintain a COVID-Secure environment, please check the Museum Operational News Update below for latest information prior to your visit.
The Wind Tunnels are CLOSED for the winter. The 2022 tour season will run between March 31st and October 27th, details of proposed tour dates will be published as early as possible in the new year. If you would like to register interest in joining a 2022 tour please contact: secretary@airsciences.org.uk.

Museum Operational News Update
Weekends – Simulator / Harrier Cockpit Update
The children’s “Spitfire” simulator is now operating along with the Harrier Simulator at weekends, if the weather is fine, the Harrier Cockpit will be open for visitors.
Opening Hours & Admission
The Museum is open 10:00am to 4:00pm Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays.
Admission is Free but donations are very welcome – as a charity run entirely by volunteers we depend on fundraising to meet our costs and support our projects. (Special events and exhibitions may charge an admission fee).
FAST Museum Guided Tours
ADULT GROUPS
Pre-booked Museum tours by adult groups are welcomed on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10 am and 4 pm.
The standard charge per person, to include tea/coffee and biscuits on arrival, illustrated talk, and guided tour is £15, subject to a minimum of 5 persons.
Other days and times by special arrangement may be available but would incur an additional charge.

SCHOOL/YOUTH GROUP VISITS
Visits by schools and youth groups can be arranged for Tuesdays or Thursdays and include a talk and guided tour, nominally in groups of 10 or fewer, each with a leader and cost £5 per person with no charge for accompanying adults.
Evening visits by Scouts/Cubs etc can be accommodated, on Tuesdays and Thursdays only, at the same cost.

Accessibility
We are committed to ensuring the FAST Museum is accessible to all visitors, regardless of disability and hope that our facilities enhance your visit. The Museum is wheelchair accessible. Accessible toilets are available. Volunteer staff are always on hand for assistance and will be more than happy to help you.

Parking is free at the Museum and there are plenty of spaces.

37 MINUTES FROM LONDON, 57 MINUTES TO PARIS!
With Farnborough airport literally on the doorstep, international air travel is made easy for the FAST Museum!
But of course, most of our visitors find us via somewhat more prosaic modes of transport…

BY CAR
Satellite Navigation: GU14 6TH
Junctions 4 and 4A of the M3 are minutes away and the Museum is just 15 miles from junction 12 of the M25, making Heathrow and Gatwick airports readily accessible.
The Museum is situated on the A325 Farnborough Road, close to the Eastern end of the main runway at Farnborough Airfield.

BY TRAIN
Farnborough is on the London to Southampton rail line and is just 37 minutes from central London by train. Farnborough Main rail station is just a 5 minute taxi ride or 20 minute walk away from the Museum.

BY BUS
The main bus route up the A325 through Farnborough, from Camberley to Aldershot, is Stagecoach Route 1. You can find more bus travel information at www.traveline.info.

Eating & Shopping
The museum has a coffee lounge which is open during museum opening hours, serving hot and cold drinks, cakes and biscuits.
Farnborough town centre with a wide range of shops and eating, including ASDA and Sainsburys, is a 10 minute walk away.
