Aircraft Record Cards

Aircraft that are used for Research & Development often move between the Manufacturer, the trials airfields and other areas; these movements are recorded in detail on movement cards.

FAST has catalogued those in their possession under the type of aircraft concerned. There are over 650 records of such aircraft movements, and they help in the understanding of the research needs and the development of the work involved (and where).

Some records exist of the research flying by Aero Dept. Bedford in the 1960s/70s with some details on FD2, HP115, Short SC1, P1127 and more.
