FAST was pleased to support the Farnborough Society at the unveiling of the Blue Plaque to Beatrice 'Tilly' Shilling outside the house in Ashley Road, Farnborough where she once lived. Miss Shilling was a redoubtable RAE Engineer who solved the problem of  Merlin engines cutting out in air combat with a simple solution which significantly improved the performance of Spitfires.
